Intention

A celebrated artist and I were discussing paintings, the process of painting…knowing what to paint next. I described how I needed to sit [in the rocking chair in my studio] and just think – daydream maybe – imagine… Then I begin, and six hours later, I haven’t had anything to drink or eat. Time has just gone by and I am in the midst of the next painting; the painting has a life of its own. I often feel that I am the conduit… I will think on this some more.
